Africa's Wars: Does anyone have an opinion on...
Here’s a great article on Africa and it’s seemingly perpetual state of war. I would like to bring to your attention the fact that the majority of Africa’s wars have taken place in what the UN calls Middle Africa (the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, etc.)  http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2010/02/22/africas_forever_wars

Our Dark Past
I just would like to take a minute to express my frustration and disappointment over the manner in which the United States has handled foreign affairs for the past 100 + years. As a nation, we have pursued an extremely interventionist and interest-based policy towards the rest of the world. In other words, the United States has used any means to achieve its own selfish ends. The worst examples of...

The Essential Man: On Being Unrealistic →
Click the Link and Read the Rest! The majority of the world is mediocre. They have mediocre ideas, possess mediocre taste and create mediocre goals. The moment you believe that any goal or dream you have is unrealistic and not worth chasing is the moment you’ve placed yourself in the majority. You have become mediocre. Your job…

A Story
I found this story on the web. It’s pretty good. Hope you get something out of it: Life: Explained A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them. “Not very long,” answered the Mexican. “But then, why didn’t you stay out longer and...

New President of Chile
Today Sebastián Piñera will be inaugurated as the new President of Chile. His assumption of the position is quite interesting, because he will be the first conservative president in twenty years. Here’s the Al Jazeera article: http://english.aljazeera.net/news/americas/2010/03/20103117750481876.html

To Start Off
Hi everyone, This is my first post on tumblr. I started this blog just to express my ideas, opinions, and to share interesting things I find on the web. I also wanted to get feedback from anyone who reads it. I don’t plan to focus on any subject in particular. I hope you enjoy what I post and that you get something out of it.
